I was doing my thing skimming through journals. Reading ones I may have missed. I came across one about murder and why.
We are the best and worst of creative whim, or evolution if you so choose. We do what we have to in order to live, sometimes we do what we want in order to live better. We are allotted the gifted curse of comprehensive, empathetic, cognitive decision. It's not the primal beasts way of life for us. We supposedly grew past that, it is a life of working to live. A life where we work out to live, copulate, and climax to live, dance to live; sing, draw, develop, capture, write, ride, drive, read, calculate, shoot up, smoke, rape, beat, drink, and kill all to live.
We have choice beyond the instinct to hunt and copulate. We are decadent with laws and rules, definitions, standards, ideals, beliefs, hedonism, lethargy, disease, war, and abuse. Somewhere our supposed enlightenment, a feeling of entitlement was born from the ancestors most call honored heros of every peoples.
Here more than anywhere in life I have seen mob mentality rule with the screech of a nail on chalkboard. Though not exclusive to the Internet it grew out there. I've seen it. We regress, we need physical things, tangable and real to blam, or believe in. God, has lost many followers, but I think man has lost more in itself.
So when gods are no longer needed except on death beds and prison cells people less intelligent become more violent and unreasonable without true morals and decent standards putting conscience in their head and hearts.
Here, I see "vampires" little kids who need a reason to be more aggressive or moody and mysterious, though their predecessors coined it first and are all the more haughty and obnoxious about it.
With behaviors bordering obsessive stalkers and sexual predators as they claim the darkness as a reason for their own choices.
It is saddening that people feel the need to kill, it's worse we haven't figured out how to teach people to live together.
